My voice is not separate from who I am. - Family Love In My City

My voice is not separate from who I am.

Sometimes you just have to write, right?

With so many emotions, dreams, visions, inspirations swirling around my head...I think the only way I will feel better is to press these keys and hit publish.

I just came off of an incredible 3 day blogging conference, Be Blogalicious. And while it is labeled as a blogging conference, it was more of an empowerment conference. The entire time, it felt like I was living in a self-help book.

Over the three days, I made sure to nurture some friendships with online friends and soak in the positive energy of those around me.

More importantly, I am feeling a little more comfortable with who I am. I am learning, from others advice, that I kinda have to get over the insecurities and say proudly who I am. I am a working mother, I am a proud Latina blogger and an important part of my communities. And what is hardest for me to come to terms with is that I can be all of these things, all at the same time.

Every hour of every day.

No matter what anyone else thinks of me or doesn't.

I'm gonna do my best to wake up each morning and say that. And one day it will all come to fruition.
