#ad Your family can help Fight Hunger with Tyson, Kraft and Capri Sunthis Summer!Monday, June 23, 2014
I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias and its advertiser.
When Summer is here, how many of you stock up on healthy kid snacks, frozen foods, milk, fruits and quick meals like mac & cheese? Summer brings bigger grocery bills for some families, but also brings attention to poverty in the USA. There are many children that depend on the meal that school provides.
We always try to show our children that they are about a bigger community and while they may not experience hunger, there are many in our area that do. We've done a few SIMPLE Service projects with #CollectiveBias where we have given to a local community center that has an emergency food bank and the the Children's Shelter, but this time, we are participating in an even simpler way to give back...with Sam's Club, Tyson, Kraft Mac & Cheese and Capri Sun and the Hunger Heroes campaign. The #HungerHeroes campaign is all about action. It’s about turning families into superheroes, and tapping into the incredible power of giving.
You will be feeding a child in need each time you purchase a Tyson® Fully-Cooked Chicken Nuggets 5 lb. bag, a KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner 7.25 oz. 12-pack, and/or a Capri-Sun 6 oz. 40-pack at Sam’s Club during the month of August.
And just to give you an reason to go to Sam's, here's a recipe for our newest kid-friendly creation: Bacon, Chicken, Mac & Cheese Flatbread!
We picked up Tyson's Fully-Cooked Chicken Nuggets in the Frozen Chicken aisle of Sam's, then a couple 40-packs of Capri Sun.
And Kraft Mac & Cheese Dinners, which were located in the Pasta aisle.
At home, I just cook the ingredients as labeled. This works out great if I have leftovers, too. I put them on a flatbread or piece of Naan, put in the oven for a few minutes and it's done. Serve up with a good salad for adults, place some cucumber slices and tomatoes on the kids plates for sides and we are all good!
I hope you consider participating in the Hunger Heroes campaign this August, every bit counts! And get this, if you buy those items for you, a set to donate, it's like tripling your giving with one trip! And if you need a place to donate, I'd love to recommend the Presa Community Center that has a summer program and emergency food bank.
Have a great day guys!
