A Little Cultura In My Patio with The Home Depot {Giveaway} - Family Love In My City

A Little Cultura In My Patio with The Home Depot {Giveaway}

Tuesday, September 03, 2013

This post is sponsored by Home Depot. However all opinions are my own.

Did you ever go to your grandma's house, and burn your finger on the comal trying to flip a tortilla? Then have your grandma, break a bit off of her aloe vera plant and rub it on your burn to help soothe your skin? I know that has occurred at least once in my lifetime!

Reminiscing on memories of grandparents house and sitting on their porch inspired me to do a little makeover, and add some cultura to our back patio. So we headed to Home Depot.

We found these beautiful pots and decided it would be great to put some aloe vera plants in. Both items are located in the garden area of Home Depot.  Aloe vera plants are perfect for the San Antonio heat and perfect for me, because very low maintenance is needed!

I also purchased a pillow for the outside for a touch of color.

Back at the house, it took all but 10 minutes to accomplish.

And our final reveal! See the Tin Crazy Monkey in the corner? It's available at The Home Depot, too! But, let's see how long he lasts at my house! I know my mom would love this addition to the other animal planters in her back yard! It keeps the grandchildren entertained!
